We are pleased to announce that the permanent exhibition of the KGB Cells Museum has recently been expanded.
With the support of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and the City Museum, and in collaboration with the Estonian War Museum and its master restorer Henrik Guthan, the cell dedicated to forest brothers and deportations has been significantly enriched with fascinating new material. Visitors can now see a life-size mannequin of the legendary forest brother Alfred Käärmann, whose lifelike appearance was created using old photographs and 3D printing technology. The display cases showcase a wide range of forest brothers’ equipment – including the detailed contents of a hiking backpack, a secret milk can hideout with its contents, a meticulously crafted model of a forest bunker, and a variety of firearms. Come and see for yourself!
