A second exhibition, titled <strong>&#8220;After the Solstice&#8221;, presents oil pastels by the artist Silja H\u00e4rm\u00a0<\/strong>(born in 1969).<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>Silja H\u00e4rm studied painting at the Pallas Art Association Studio (earlier the Konrad M\u00e4gi Studio) from 1989 to 1994 under the guidance of Kaja K\u00e4rner and Heldur-Jaan Viirres. She has exhibited her works since 1990 and has held around ten solo exhibitions, featuring mainly abstract paintings focused on color.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to painting, Silja H\u00e4rm has also studied theology and worked as a librarian and lecturer. She is a member of the Pallas Art Association.<\/p>\n\n<p>The exhibition at the 19th Century Citizen\u2019s Museum features oil pastels created either on-site in nature or abstracted from impressions of nature. The title &#8220;After the Solstice&#8221;\u00a0refers both to the timing of the exhibition and to the natural impressions captured in the paintings.
